Weekly Parent Letter – Year 2

Dear Parents,
We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing Half Term and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Homework:
In Maths this week we have been looking at different ways to measure. This week we practiced reading scales to measure weight and volume. For homework this week we would like you to follow a recipe and bake something, for example a cake or biscuits. Please help your child to measure the ingredients and read the weight on the scales or measuring jug. Either bring a photo of what you have baked in to school or email us a picture to the year 2 email address: year2@archdeaconcambridges.richmond.sch.uk
Notices:
- As the weather gets warmer please ensure your child comes to school with a hat and water bottle every day. We are unable to apply sun cream in school so please ensure this is put on before coming to school.
- In Science on Friday 15th June we will be looking at how we grow from babies to an adult. To support this can children, either bring a picture of themselves as a baby or please send one to the Year 2 email address.
- Year 2 will be taking part in scooter training on Thursday 14th June. Children will need to bring their scooter into school on this day. If you do not have access to a scooter please let us know by Wednesday 13th June. PE kits should still be worn on this day.
- Swimming will continue next Tuesday 12th June.
