Dear Year 1,
Well done for completing another week of home learning. We are so proud of all the children and extremely impressed by all of work they have been completing. Don't worry if things haven't quite gone to plan- there's always next week!
Mr Bowie sends his thanks to all of you for the kind and thoughtful messages he received. He is feeling much better and is looking forward to getting back to work.
Please find the Weekly Home Learning Grid at the top of this page. It has links to all of the recorded lessons and resources you will need. All blue writing will take you straight to each link. We will continue our focus on Traditional Tales in our English lessons and addition in maths. Numbots has been included on the timetable this week. Click on the Numbots link on the Weekly Home Learning Grid. The username and password for this is the same as the MyUSO login and the site can also be reached through a link in the resources page of the MyUSO login.
Please do not worry if you aren't able to do everything. Do what you can and contact us if you need guidance on which parts to prioritise.
Thank you for collecting books last week. The times will remain the same for Monday morning (Monday 25th January between 9:30 and 10:00am). If you have any books to return, please bring these along with you. Please let us know if you are having difficulty collecting.
As a alternative, you can log in to www.activelearnprimary.co.uk (linked to Weekly Learning Grid in the Reading section) using your child’s MyUSO log in details and the school code – arca, where you will find Bug Club – online reading books. We have allocated reading books that can be read online. These books have been selected in relation to the stage of phonics your child is currently working at (the Bug club system uses different colour names to our school scheme). Click on the Bug when you see it to answer a comprehension question.
One of the Year 1 team will be available via Microsoft Teams Chat every school day from 9:30am – 11:30am to answer any general queries you may have. If your query is specifically about your child please use the Year 1 email address. Please do let us know if you have any questions. We will be in touch on Wednesday regarding our Weekly Teams Meetings.
