Science

Lesson 1:

In class, we will be learning about teeth and what affects their health. To begin this topic, work through this web page and complete the activities on the page. Next using a mirror, can you name all the different teeth in your mouth?

You could complete a tooth check of everyone in your house hold.

How many teeth do they have?

Do they have any milk teeth?

Are they missing any?

Do they have gaps?

Are their teeth similar or different to yours?

Lesson 2: How do drinks effect your tooth health?

Watch the clip on the website below:

Can you set up a similar experiment at home using egg shells? (They have similar properties to your teeth.) What happens to the eggs shell once it has been in the liquid? How do you think these liquids impact your teeth?

Lesson 3: How do you keep your teeth healthy at home?

Watch: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03cnjj3

Make a mind map with all the ways you can keep your teeth healthy. Please keep this for next week as we will use it during our English lessons.
