Admissions

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. 

 

Parents wishing to apply for a place at Archdeacon Cambridge’s School should contact the School Office by telephone in the first instance.  A telephone conversation offers an opportunity to register an interest in receiving an application pack for either the Nursery or Reception class and to discuss admissions arrangements at the school.

 

The Headteacher operates regular tours of the school. Parents wishing to join a tour should telephone the School Office.  It is most useful for parents if they visit the school between 3-6 months before they make their application.

 

Nursery

Children’s names can be registered with the school at any time from birth and should be registered by 6th March 2021 for entry to the Nursery in September 2021. It would be helpful if parents would register their interest by the end of January 2021 although early registration is not relevant for admission purposes. Application forms will be sent out on 10th February 2021 to parents who have registered a child’s name. Application forms must be returned to the school by 6th March 2021  Letters notifying parents of the outcome of their application will be sent out on or after 1st May 2021. Reception

Children’s names can be registered with the school at any time from birth and should be registered by 15th January 2021 for entry to the Reception Class in September 2021.  It would be helpful if parents would register their interest before the end of October 2020 although early registration is not relevant for admission purposes. Applications for entry into Reception will be handled in line with the LA co-ordinated admission arrangements. All parents will be required to complete and return a Local Education Application Form to their Local Authority by 15th January 2021. For those families applying for Foundation places, a Supplementary Application Form and Clergy Form should be completed and returned to the School by 15th January 2021 so that Governors can consider their application fully.  Letters notifying parents of the outcome of their application will be sent out on or after 16th April 2021.
