19th February 2021
Dear Year 3 families,
Welcome back! Spring is in the air – at last! We hope you all had a lovely, restful half term, enjoying the warmer weather, and are now raring to go with your Spring 2 home learning – we are!
Our Year 3 book swap will now be on Wednesdays at 11am. We will have one this Wednesday 24th February for you to bring back the finished reading books and collect some more. The new home learning journals will also be available at this time.
We are looking forward to the children's return to school and to celebrate this, we will be putting together an installation of children's artwork to welcome them back. We would like children to draw a portrait of themselves on a piece of fabric provided by school. This should be completed in pencil and a permanent marker used to go over the lines. The style is a simple line drawing similar to the 'art tea towels' previously done by year groups. We would ask children to write just their first name on the front of the artwork.
Coloured fabric can be collected from boxes outside the gates on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd February. Each year group will have a particular colour; please ensure you take from the correct year group's box. We would ask for this to be dropped back into school via the provided box by Friday 26th February. Any questions you have about this art project, please send an email to Miss Cliffe via firstname.lastname@example.org.
As usual, we will be available on Teams daily between 9.30 and 11.30 to support and help with the home learning and our Teams meetings will continue on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm.
Many thanks for your continued support and fingers crossed we will know on Monday when we will be back in school.
Miss Bayman, Mr Kent and Maggie.
