Parent Letter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to week 4 of the Summer Term,

We hope that you have had lots of fun over the VE Day weekend, remembering the 75 years since the end of the Second World War. Please do upload any celebrations you have had at home.

This week’s maths takes a departure from the Power Maths and instead moves to some online White Rose maths. The link from the PPT goes to one page which has all 3 day’s maths lessons on it. Each session consists of a video and an activity. There is also an answer sheet available.

The English and science pick up on the plant investigation from last week and culminate in creating a programme about looking after plants!

Thank you for all those who are continuing to upload 3 pieces of work each week. We are really proud of all the work that Year 3 are doing and how independent they have become.  Please could we request that each uploaded piece is labelled to help us in identifying the requested pieces?  Also if work could be rotated to the correct orientation for reading, this would be really appreciated. Thank you. Please also feel free to continue to add additional home learning pieces that you and your children are especially proud of sharing.

A special mention to Harry K, Lara D, Evan D and Hugo F-S who have all scored over 50,000 points on TTRockStars! Excellent work!

Also, Lara D, Layla F, Charlotte M, Sebastian v S, Greta F and Elliot W, who have all scored 100% on their Spell Blast scores so far this month.

A huge well done to all of you!

NOTE: please remember to enable the ‘notes’ section at the bottom of the PPTs, as some of these contain extra information for parents.

Please continue to stay safe, stay well and stay in touch.

We wish you a very happy and restful bank holiday weekend,

Mr Kent and Mrs Tranter
