Year 1 Information Letter

Dear Parents and Carers

This week the children have enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The have produced artwork, a timeline of the 2000s and performed a song and a dance

(The Cha Cha Slide). They absolutely loved the tea party which ended a fun and very busy week for Year 1.

The children have had a fantastic term and should be very proud of all of their hard work.

They deserve a good restful half term break and we look forward to seeing them back in school on Tuesday 7th June.

We haven’t set any homework for half term but please continue to read with your child when you can.

Notices

• School is closed on Monday 6^th June
• Indoor and outdoor PE will continue each Tuesday and Friday. Please send your child to school dressed in PE on those days.
• Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather, this could include a rain coat or sun cream and sun hat. We are not allowed to apply sun cream to children in school, so please ensure that this is put on before the school day.
