Parent weekly letter – Year 2
Friday 27th November 2020
Dear Parents,
Thank you for helping your child to make their UK Landmarks. We have been so impressed with the imaginative models that have been brought in to school.
Homework
Topic:
Models need to be handed in by Monday 30th November. We will be writing about the models next week.
Maths: We have been continuing to work on multiplication this week.
We have practised drawing arrays and writing the related multiplication and repeated addition sentences. Please support your child to complete the attached sheet.
Spelling: Please complete the attached spelling sheet using the: Look, Say, Write, and Check method. The children will be tested on these words next Wednesday. Please keep the spelling sheets at home to continue learning the spellings. These are also used to reinforce correct letter formation.
Nativity: All the children in Year 2 will be dressed as Wise men. We will be making crowns in school. Please could you send in a set of brightly coloured clothes and a cloak if you have one for your child to wear in the performance.
Please bring them in a named bag by Monday 7th December. Clothes will be returned later that week.
