Welcome to week 2 of Spring term 1!
Well done for all of your fantastic efforts with home learning last week.
We have been very impressed by your resourcefulness and hard work in tackling the various challenges so far and have enjoyed the various video meetings with you! Don’t worry if you missed your slot last week but do try to ensure you attend this week!

Please remember to log in to Microsoft Teams each morning at the start of the day and say a hello to your class mates! Keep the questions and comments coming in and remember a member of the Year 5 team is available every day between 08.45 and 09:45 and 13:30 and 14:30 to help you with any problems you may be having.
A few things to note this week re Maths:
- You may have seen Mr Myers note last week on Microsoft Teams regarding answers to Maths. We will now be uploading answers on a daily basis at the end of the school day. Please mark your maths work every day, and only upload your work after it has been marked. Please upload at least two pieces of marked work per week by Friday. Remember you can ask questions about anything you do not understand on Teams!
- At the bottom of this page you will see a new section titled, ‘Mrs Kelsted’s group extension tasks.’ If you are part of this group, please choose at least two extension tasks to complete each week (on a day of your choosing) in addition to the usual White Rose activities. These tasks are also there for anyone else who would like some extra Maths challenges, however they are not compulsory for those outside of Mrs Kelsted’s group.
- Please send your class teacher a message on Microsoft Teams to let them know which Book, section and test you have completed on Schofield & Sims last week. This will enable us to start uploading answers for pages in future weeks. Please do this by the end of the day on Monday 11th January.
A REMINDER FOR CHILDREN ATTENDING SCHOOL THIS WEEK- P.E. WILL BE ON MONDAY AND FRIDAY FOR THIS WEEK ONLY.
