Year 1 Information Letter
13th May 2022
Dear Parents and Carers
The children enjoyed exploring vegetables this week. The children loved tasting some vegetables they have never eaten before. They also created whole class printed artwork using a variety of vegetables. They worked brilliantly to create wonderful artwork. These have been put on display outside 1B and under the covered walk way.
Reading
Please continue to read with your child daily and leave a comment in their reading diaries.
Homework
We will soon be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee in school with Jubilee week commencing on 23rd May. Each year group has been given a decade to focus on throughout the week. We will be looking at key events and people during 2000-2009. For homework we would like the children to research a significant person from this time. This could be a famous athlete, sports person, musician or artist etc. We would like your child bring into school a fact about the significant person they have learnt about.
Notices
No PE on Tuesday next week (17th) instead we will be having a catch up swimming lesson on Thursday (19th).
Swimming will be as usual on Friday (20th)
Children should wear PE kit to school on Thursday and Friday next week and bring their swimming kit into school on both days.
Thank you for your continued support
