VIRTUAL SPORTS WEEK

Thank you for all of the pictures you have sent in and well done for trying so many sports! Please continue to email us pictures of your sports weeks and we'll add them to the slideshow.

Friday 26th June 2020

You will by now have heard that Year 3 will be returning to school in the very near future. We are all very excited that we will be seeing the children again. You will have received an email from the school office regarding the organisation of their return. Please ensure that you have read the email thoroughly as it contains important information about changes to arrival and departure times. If you have not yet done so, please complete the survey about returning to school by following this link. ACS - Year 3 Return to School Survey. The deadline for replies is 15:00 on Wednesday 1st July.

Your child may also by now have had a keep-in-touch phone call from the class teachers. Please note that the number displayed may appear as an unknown or withheld number. If your child has not yet heard from one of us, we’ll be in touch next week.

Sports Week

What a week for Sports Week! Thank you for the photos you have sent in showing your wonderful Virtual Sports Week activities. If you have any photos you would like to contribute to the class powerpoint, please email these to the year group email.

English

This week we will be focusing on non-chronological reports, using children’s knowledge of search engines to search for relevant information.

Maths

This week, there is a separate PowerPoint for each of the 4 lessons. Each lesson starts with a ‘Flashback’, which is a chance to practise skills learnt from earlier on in the year. (only 5-10minutes should be spent on this section, or it could be completed at a different time if you would like to spend longer on it). The remainder of the slides focus on Time. The Pdfs for each day are the same as the Ppts, but a more printer friendly version if you are choosing to print the work out. (Remember, the lessons could be completed directly into the Ppt, on paper or whiteboards instead of printing out).

Please do continue to upload the work as it gives us an opportunity to see how the children are progressing. If you have have not uploaded the PSHE from last week please do so.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Tranter, Mr Kent and the Year 3 Team
