Dig Day/Open Garden 26th September 2015
Tue 29 Sep 2015Last Saturday brought beautiful weather and a very successful DIg Day. Children and parents enjoyed exploring the Wildlife Area and collaborating on a range of projects. Volunteers both small and large, experienced landscapers and novice gardeners contributed to a lovely morning. Amongst many other achievements, we pruned the plum tree, cleaned up the pond, weeded the herb garden, strimmed the wildflower meadow and repaired the compost bins. The Foundation Stage Outside Area also received some attention and has been weeded, tidied and has been brightened up with some new bedding plants. A tea and cake break midway through the morning was enthusiastically received by all, especially the children! Thank you so much to all our willing volunteers. We hope to welcome even more of you at the next Dig Day on 16th October 2015.

Founder’s Day & Start of Term Service
Thu 10 Sep 2015Today we celebrated our Founder’s Day and start of term service. Our school will have been open for 143 years on September 13th and today we talked about our founder, George Cambridge. The children sang beautifully and finished the service with the School Song.
