Well done on another great week of Home Learning. We’ve really enjoyed seeing all of your work on MyUSO and pieces that have been handed in. It was lovely seeing you on our video calls again this week. We hope you enjoyed Bingo! We have changed some of the groups to allow you to see other children from each class. Please check what group you are in before the meetings start on Wednesday.

Please wait for us to call you and set up the meetings. Next week we will be hosting a Great Fire of London Quiz. Please bring some paper and a pencil. Please make sure you are logged in to Microsoft Teams for these catch up calls each Wednesday and have selected ‘Gallery view’ so you are able to see everybody.
Thank you for collecting your child’s new reading books on Monday. You can collect more reading books on Monday 25th between 9:30 and 10:00am from the front of the school. Please remember to return completed books during this time as well. During this time we would also like you to bring into school any work that has been completed at home. Please ensure that it is clearly labelled with your child’s name and class. We will then keep this work in school. If you are unable to collect reading books, please let us know.
As an alternative you can log into www.activelearnprimary.co.uk using your child’s MyUSO log in details and the school code – arca, where you will find Bug Club – online reading books. We have allocated reading books that can be read online. These books have been selected in relation to the book band colour they read at school (the Bug club system uses different colour names). Click on the Bug when you see it to answer a comprehension question. You can also look at the Popular Year 2 Reading Book list below.
Home Learning for next week can be found below. We will continue to work on The Great Fire of London as our topic and in Maths we will continue looking at Statistics. The Weekly Learning Grid has links to all of the recorded lessons, resources and PowerPoints you will need. If you are unable to print any of the resources at home please send an email to the year 2 email address before 8:00 am on Monday 25th and we will make packs available for you to collect with your child’s new reading books.
