Week Beginning Monday 18th January 2021

IMPORTANT UPDATE- Microsoft Teams Meeting

Dear Year 1,

Well done for another great week of home learning. We have seen some amazing Traditional Tales settings this week. It was delightful to look through the different symbols the children had created for themselves in RE. We could see how much thought and care had gone into them. Thank you once again for your support and for uploading your child's work onto JiT/J2E.  If you are having problems uploading, please let us know via the Year 1 email.

I hope the children enjoyed 10s and 1s Bingo as much as I did. It was very clear the children have worked hard on this focus in maths. We will post further details of next week's calls on this page on Wednesday.

If you would like new reading books you can collect them on Monday 18th January at 9:30am from the front of the school. Please remember to return completed books during this time as well. If you are given books you have already read please re-read them and work on reading comprehension or select a book from home instead. We have included the handwriting sheets with these book but the handwriting will now also be linked into the Weekly Grid.

Please find the Weekly Grid at the top of this page. Each link will take you directly to the lesson or resource. We are continuing to utilise resources provided by White Rose and we have also continued to include the Letters and Sounds phonics lessons as a daily task. Please try and do this every day. Reading remains an essential task. Additionally, Busy Things (MyUSO) and Espresso (login below) have great resources and games that the children will enjoy and be beneficial to their learning.

One of the Year 1 team will be available via Microsoft Teams Chat every school day from 9:30am – 11:30am to answer any general queries you may have. If your query is specifically about your child please use the Year 1 email address.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
