  • Zambia Day

    Mon 27 Nov 2017

On Friday 10th November, we joined together as a school to launch and celebrate our new partnership with a charity called Brighter Futures Zambia. The children were placed in mixed age range ‘classes’ and experienced a carousel of African activities that were on offer. They had the opportunity to contribute to a collage of Zambian animals, eat Goulabjamoun (sweet potato fritters – which nearly every child ate and loved!), participate in an African drumming session with specialist drumming teacher Storme Watson and learn about Zambian Geography and the Nyanja language. There was a buzz all around the school and so many smiles to be seen as the children travelled around the different classes chatting about their new experiences.

Over the next few months we are hoping to work with the charity to raise enough money to build a pre-school for 90 children in the village of Miyoba. School Council, staff and Governors will be working on creative fundraising ideas.

We will update our Zambia page on the website with future news of our fundraising!

  • Year 6 Maths Team Winners

    Mon 13 Nov 2017

Congratulations to our Year 6 Maths Team who took part in a maths competition at Radnor House School last week and came first. Fifteen other schools were involved and our team of six members took part in a carousel of mathematical activities, each focusing on a different aspect of maths. There were two nail-biting tie-breakers rounds which Archdeacon Cambridge’s won and our winners were each awarded a maths book as a prize.

Welcome to the Summer Term 2024!
