Week beginning 4.01.21

Dear Reception Parents and Carers,

We want to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year.

Your support in continuing your child’s education in these uncertain and challenging times is much appreciated. We hope to provide as much support as possible to enable you to keep your child happy, engaged and learning at home. We are suggesting activities and structuring them through a timetable, but we are aware that some of the activities need adult support or access to a computer, so feel free to follow your own schedule or vary the activities. We have also added a few activities that are not on the timetable as additional practice. If you do not have access to a printer, use the suggested activities to make your own as they are not too wordy.

This will by no means be a compulsory or exhaustive list, but is intended as a guide and a starting point.

It would be very helpful if you are able to upload observations to Tapestry to let us know how your child gets on with some of these activities.

Your child has been given the office.com login details in their reading diary. MyUSO login details are the letters and numbers before @archdeaconcambridges.richmond.sch.uk and the password is the same password you have been given without the hashtags at the end. When you login to https://my.uso.im/ you will have access to various learning resources in the Reception area. Your child can use these resources however they wish – many will already be familiar with Busy Things from school.

Teachers will be contacting groups of children via Teams. We hope this is a useful way to keep in contact with school friends and teachers. Teachers are also available via reception@archdeaconcambridges.richmond.sch.uk. In addition to this, one of the year group teachers will be available for all Reception parents and children between 11:00 and 12:00 AM and 2.00 and 3.00 PM from Monday to Fridays.

This letter is being shared via Tapestry and the school’s website so you can access it on different devices and through different platforms.

We hope this information is helpful and we look forward to reading your observations on Tapestry. When we see them, we will give them a ‘like’ to let you know we have looked at the observation and read the comment. We might also add some comments, give you some feedback and suggest teaching tips or next learning steps.

Thank you for your continued support,

Reception Team

We are looking forward to welcoming back all Archdeacon Cambridge's children to school on 8th March!
