Dear Parents and Carers,
A big thank you to all your hard working in supporting your child with their home learning this half term; we don’t underestimate what a struggle it has been.
Timetable
The shared timetable across the Year 4 classes is working well. As in previous weeks, please see the bottom of the timetable for when your child needs to be available on Teams for their group session. In the group sessions this week, your child will be sharing their drafted diary entry so we can concentrate on editing skills before they neatly publish it.
Spellings
Thank you to all those children who have been photographing their spelling tests and uploading the result onto J2e. We do record the weekly spelling results for each child so we can track their progress. We have a couple of gaps for some children, so if you have missed a week please upload to enable us to keep our records up-to-date.
Core Texts
We will be moving on after half term to our next core text: Dead Man’s Cove by Lauren St John. We recognise that The Tempest has been a challenging text and we have been very proud of how much the children have engaged with the story and explored the points of view of the different characters. If your child would like to finish watching the video clips please follow this link: BBC Teach The Tempest
We hope that you all have a good week and an even more restful half term. Any questions please contact us via the Y4 group email:

Best wishes,

Safer Internet Day!
On Tuesday 9th February, the UK celebrate Safer Internet Day! This encourages all users to establish good online habits and teaches children about staying stay online. This year's focus is: 'An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world!' In a effort to support our child with working online, we would like them to compete the 2 games on the powerpoint below. Together, we can ensure our children understand to navigate online resources safely whilst giving them the opportunity to question, challenge and change the online world for the better.
