Dear Parents and Carers,
It was lovely to hear all about the snow day we had last Sunday in our registration sessions.
Another great week of Home Learning! We loved reading the children’s newspaper reports and were pleased with the high standard. We defiantly have lots of potential journalists! The children’s critical history investigating skills were also very impressive. We hope you enjoyed doing the digestive investigation.
We are continuing with the shared timetable across the Year 4 classes. Please see the bottom of the timetable for when your child needs to be available on Teams for their group session. We will continue to do a guided reading session on the next 2 pages of the Tempest. Please ensure your child has the copy of the Tempest for this session and any questions they might have about the text.
Getting support online
Children can receive support online from a Year 4 class teacher through the messaging service on Teams. We would ask children to post their questions into their small group chats, a teacher will endeavour to reply to your child as quickly as possible. If your child does need teacher support with a question or is unsure of a task, please encourage them to move on if they don’t get an immediate response, as we will get back to them as soon as we are available.
We have included some ideas to celebrate story telling week. For No Screen Friday afternoon, we would like them to take the opportunity to tell their favourite story or create a new story and perform it to family or friends. No writing needed, just have fun telling a story.
J2stars and Orange tickets
Well done to all the children who have already received an Orange Ticket for superb learning from home.
Children will continue to collect orange tickets for completing marvellous work at home. As per the blue and yellow tickets, these will be collected together in school and drawn once a month. Winners of the monthly draw will be mentioned in the Newsletter and receive a voucher.
