Pupil Voice at Archdeacon is represented largely by our School Council. School Councillors are elected by their peers with each class choosing two representatives. School Council elections are held twice a year in order to give as many children as possible the opportunity to be a member of School Council during their time at Archdeacon.
The School Council meets in the Library during Thursday lunchtimes and is led by Ms van den Broek. The children represent the views of their peers addressing issues discussed in class and contributing to school policies. School Council members are responsible for choosing our focus charities, thinking of creative fundraising ideas and, most importantly, maintaining a positive and caring school. The Governor who is Chair of our Admissions, Pastoral and Personal Development Committee regularly attends School Council meetings to hear the children’s views.
