Parent Teacher Association

At Archdeacon Cambridge's, we are fortunate to have a very active and supportive Parent Teacher Association, who do a wonderful job of organising social and fundraising events for our families. The PTA is inclusive and welcomes support and ideas from all parents and teachers.

On joining the school, all parents become members of the Archdeacon Cambridge’s PTA (Parent Teacher Association). There are 6 elected committee members including the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary and representatives from all eight year groups. The committee meets twice a term and there is an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September.

The PTA is actively involved in fundraising for the school as well as providing opportunities for parents to socialise and staging events for the pupils. Annual events that are held include a Christmas Fayre, Summer Fete, Quiz Night and Children’s Discos.  There are also a variety of other events which take place throughout the year. The PTA provide many different services for the school including running a crèche for younger siblings during year group assemblies and holding second hand uniform sales.

In the last few years, PTA funds have contributed to the projector and sound system in the Large Hall, the swimming pool refurbishment, classroom and playground refurbishments, lunch tables and classroom touchscreens. Alongside this, they have provided financial support for themed school weeks, theatre performances and coaches for school trips.

Welcome to the Autumn Term 2020. Please note that physical tours of the school site for prospective Nursery and Reception parents will not take place this term. Virtual tours are under construction and further information about these will be available shortly.
