W/C 15/02/21

Dear Year 6,

Well done for completing this half term online; we are very proud of all the efforts we have seen and the high standard of work produced. We hope that you and your families have a peaceful and relaxing half term break. Don’t forget that it is Shrove Tuesday on the 16th February and Lent begins the following day on Ash Wednesday (17th February). There will be no work set over this time so please use this week as an opportunity to take time away from the screen and be with your families. Below  the message from Miss Cliffe, there are some websites with suggestions of things that you could do over the holiday. Take care everyone and we will see you online again on Monday 22nd February.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Archibald, Mr. Bowen and Mrs. Taylor

A message from Miss Cliffe:

We are looking forward to the children's return and to celebrate this, we will be putting together an installation of children's artwork to welcome them back. We would like children to draw a portrait of themselves on a piece of fabric provided by school.  This should be completed in pencil and a permanent marker used to go over the lines. The style is a simple line drawing similar to the 'art tea towels' previously done by year groups. We would ask children to write just their first name on the front of the artwork.

Coloured fabric can be collected from boxes outside the gates on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd February. Each year group will have a particular colour; please ensure you take from the correct year group's box. We would ask for this to be dropped back into school via the provided box by Friday 26th February.
